The More Things Change

"The real things haven’t changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with the simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong." - Laura Ingalls Wilder

It all started with a sketch, a dream, and the courage to step out and make our dreams a reality...cue the global pandemic.

And so here we are.

This is not the environment that we had intended to start our new business.

We are encountering the power of resilience, and the importance of connection. We are making personal sacrifices out of collective responsibility. In the midst of what many see as the one of the more trying times in our recent history, we are discovering the very best of ourselves.

In many ways, it is an unsettling and uncertain time; but, there are fundamental things that remain unchanged: community, character, family, faith. And while it seems like the world around us is unraveling, there is evidence that those essential, unchanging things, are getting stronger.

And as things seem to be going wrong, we can still have courage; we can still take joy in simple pleasures; we can still make the most of what we have.

Because, even when everything around us looks different, the real things haven’t changed a bit.
