Halcyon Stay in Palo Alto
Fritz Tiny Homes in Cali!
If you’ve been following along on social media, you know that Fritz was recently in California delivering 2 tiny homes to some incredible clients. One of those tiny homes was our first Halcyon Stay. We have absolutely fallen in love with this tiny home design and want to share the details of this model. For a full walk through of the model features, you can watch Kev give a tour here:
The Halcyon Stay was designed to be your luxury home away from home. Many of our clients come to us because they are looking for a second property – that mountain getaway, ocean-side retirement property, or cabin in the woods. Not all our clients are looking to live tiny full time. Many are interested in adding a second property to their lives, a place that is inspiring, personal, and surrounded by beauty. This is exactly why we built the Halcyon Stay.
The architectural footprint of the Halcyon Stay is stunning, with floor to ceiling glass windows creating a sense of bringing the outdoor surroundings right inside. Natural light bounces off the walls in this spacious 10.5’ wide design. The Halcyon Stay is our only model that is all one level, making it highly accessible. The additional width makes it feel airy and open. This is a park model, on wheels, certified to code for Canada and the US. It can also be a modular build, placed on a foundation, coded appropriately for the province or state our clients are in. What makes this so special is that many stunning locations don’t allow for a house to be built on them – that secret cove you love hiking to, or remote property that requires paving to make it accessible. But if your house is on wheels (even if they’re entirely hidden by skirting), locations open up to you. This model exists to make second home dreams come true!
Our incredible client in Palo Alto showed us how the Halcyon Stay can be used as an Accessory Dwelling – a space she was added to her property to escape to, create in, and focus on personal wellness in. We personalized this first Halcyon Stay in some pretty extraordinary ways, to make this a space our client could be inspired in. Our client is an artist, and was looking for a space where she could reconnect to herself, find inspiration for her art, and live a life focused on creativity and movement. We modified the standard custom concrete table to work well as an artist’s desk. We added specific storage for art supplies. And she opted to remove the standard set up – a queen bed with an enormous amount of storage – for a Murphy bed that folds away creating space for a pilates studio and Reformer. She personalized a jaw-dropping luxury bathroom design with a full glass walk in shower and custom concrete vanity. She truly has a tiny home that feels inspired and spacious.
