Dwell features our latest custom tiny home

The last couple of years have been a “ride” for all of us. We’ve had to pivot in many ways and try new things. We’ve had wins and we’ve had losses. For some of us that has meant homeschooling for a time, losing a job we loved or turning our business from storefront to online. Many of you, even in this time, decided to minimize and “go tiny”.

Part of our ride since starting Fritz Tiny Homes in early 2020 has been the global recognition that has been an absolute honour! This fall we were again featured in Dwell magazine online – a design and technology brand and leader in the home design industry. With the completion of The Trahan, Dwell wanted to feature this A-frame health and wellness-focused home.

A win for us at Fritz Tiny Homes, a feature in such a prominent magazine like Dwell, is a win for the tiny home movement! With this recognition, we believe that more people are able to see that tiny can be luxurious and that our consumption and footprint matter. If it enables a few more people to ponder a different kind of life, one that excites them, then it’s worth it!

Thank you again for coming along for the ride with us and thank you again to Dwell for the feature!

A Yoga Instructor’s Tiny Home Stretches the Limits of Small Space Design

Heather and Kevin Fritz of Fritz Tiny Homes just unveiled their latest micro dwelling on wheels—and it’s as much a gym as it is a house. "Our client, a yoga instructor, asked for space for her Peloton bike and an eight-by-eight yoga room, where she could teach remotely," Heather says. "We fit both of these things and more."

Named after the client, Ashleigh Trahan, the home is wrapped in black metal and Douglas fir and features tall windows that showcase the landscape of Vancouver Island, British Columbia….
